Building Queensland leads the development of Queensland Government detailed business cases with an estimated capital cost of over $100 million. This includes business cases being developed by Queensland Government departments, government-owned corporations and nominated statutory authorities.
Projects currently being led by Building Queensland include:
Queensland Health, Metro South Hospital and Health Service
Logan Hospital is situated in a major growth and development corridor of South East Queensland. The population is expected to increase by 43.3 per cent by 2026, or 3.9 per cent annually. It is estimated that by 2026, Logan Hospital would experience a shortfall of up to 450 beds without delivery of additional capacity.
Building Queensland is leading the development of the Nullinga Dam Detailed Business Case in partnership with SunWater. The proposed Nullinga Dam site is located on the Walsh River in the Atherton Tablelands.
It has been proposed as a future water supply to serve growing urban demand in Cairns and to stimulate irrigated agriculture in the region.
