After the opening of Sunshine Coast University Hospital, services will relocate from Nambour and refurbishment and reorganisation will be required.
The objective is to create a ‘fit-for-purpose’ facility to reflect its future role and provide a cost effective and sustainable facility to respond to local health service needs, both now and into the future.
Options to address these objectives are currently under development.
Subject to government endorsing the preliminary business case, site master planning including preparation of the project definition plan and schematic design will be undertaken during the business case development stage.
